Chief Adams

Lisette Adams joined the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office in August 1993. The Sheriff’s Office promoted her to Senior Deputy in 1999, and Sergeant in 2008. She was promoted to Captain in 2013. She has served as the Captain of the Field Operations Division and has worked at the Intake and Release Center, County Jails 2, 3 (now shuttered) 4 and 5. She promoted to Chief Deputy of the Custody Operations Division in 2023.

She previously worked in the Administration and Programs Division.

The Sheriff’s Office has recognized Chief Adams with several awards, including a Silver Medal of Valor, Certificates of Merit, Undersheriff’s Commendations, and Captain’s Commendations. She also serves on numerous Sheriff’s Office committees that include the Sworn Command Staff and SFSO Training Committees.

Chief Adams earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward, and a Master’s Degree in Public Sector Leadership from St. Mary’s College of California. She also completed POST Command College, a leadership course for management-level law enforcement officers.
