COVID-19 Information

In March 2021, Jail Health Services (JHS), a section of the Department of Public Health, began offering COVID-19 vaccinations to people in custody under the City's expanded eligibility guidelines.

Vaccinations are the next step in a comprehensive series of COVID-19 jail protocols, which have successfully prevented death, hospitalizations and outbreaks in San Francisco County Jail since the onset of the pandemic.
