VINE (Victim Notification Network)
The Victim Notification Network (VINE) online service is offline. The office and the vendor are currently working together to find a solution to restore the service.
During this period, the following guidelines have been put in place by the Sheriff’s office to guide you through the process of finding the status of an incarcerated person.
- For existing registrations, please use the “Find a Person in Jail” tab found on our website (SFSheriff.com) to find the status of the incarcerated person.
- The incarcerated person can be searched by their First and Last Name or the SF # or their Booking Number
- Once you find the incarcerated person, please contact the Sheriff's Office public information line at 415-553-1430 for more information regarding the status of the person in custody.
- If you are a new registrant, please send an email directly to sfso.vine.registration@sfgov.org. You can click or cut and paste the e-mail address to your preferred e-mail account. Once received, personnel from the Sheriff’s Office will respond to your inquiry by e-mail or telephone.
