Sheriff’s Office staff schedule legal video visits in the order we receive them and only where slots are available. We will email you a confirmation with instructions once we schedule your visit.
Individuals requesting legal video visits should make every effort to submit requests in advance. Same-day requests for video visits are possible for urgent matters only and depend on the availability of video visiting slots and jail staffing.
You must email sfso.visiting@sfgov.org to request a same-day visit.
In-person legal visits where the legal representative and client are separated by a partition are available on a limited basis at CJs #2 and #3 for attorneys and approved justice partners. Clients must agree to the visit and must also have tested negative for COVID.
You may call ahead to see if the visiting room is available at that moment, but the jail cannot guarantee the space will be available upon your arrival.
