VISITING A PRISONER

Visiting at County Jail #3, County Jail #4 (Hall of Justice) and County Jail #5 (San Bruno) is arranged by advance phone reservation. Visiting at County Jail #2 is arranged by in-person sign-ups the morning of the visiting day. Visiting is held at each housing jail on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. See Jail Visiting Schedules

Visiting Rules and Restrictions

Visitors may bring money to leave on a prisoner’s account but you may not bring any
personal items.

Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
Children cannot be left unattended at any time in a jail facility or waiting area.

Visitors must be prepared to show valid ID with a current photograph, showing name, address, and date of birth. All visitors are subject to search.

 Visiting is a privilege. Persons not complying with directions or refusing a search will not be allowed to visit visitors who are inappropriately dressed with gang related clothing, hairstyles, or graffiti will be denied visits. Visitors who appear to be under the influence or cause a disturbance will not be allowed to visit. Future visits may be denied.

Attorneys are allowed to visit their clients in a confidential setting at any time except during meals and count time.
