We honor SFSO deputies and fellow first responders on National First Responders Day, October 28. Our first responders are ready to put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. We thank and are proud of the amazing people who readily answer the call.

Sheriff Paul Miyamoto celebrates the 50th anniversary of San Francisco's LGBTQI Pride Month. SFSO has long championed LGBTQI rights and has actively recruited LGBTQI to join the Sheriff's Office since the 1970s.

Sheriff Miyamoto, right, attended the reopening of Wentworth Alley for the Mid-Autumn Festival in San Francisco's Chinatown to support the community during the global pandemic. The City's public safety partners participated and showed strong support for the community.
