Lost Promise: The Criminal Justice System, a documentary photographic exhibit by Robert Gumpert, will be on display in the Arts Commission Gallery on the ground floor of San Francisco City Hall Jan. 5 through March 3, 2001.

Gumpert worked with the Sheriff's Department, the DA's Office, and the court system for more than a year to assemble an engrossing and often shocking series told in words and pictures.
