Mission Statement

The San Francisco Sheriff's Department is to be an effective and integral part of the civil and criminal law enforcement efforts of the State of California, and the City and County of San Francisco. The Department will accomplish its mission through competent performance by its deputized personnel, and support staff, in accordance with the powers established by the laws of the State of California and the Charter and Ordinances of the City and County of San Francisco.
