Sick Leave
Deputies can earn twelve days annually.

Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
The Department provides six generous comprehensive coverage plans for employees and their eligible dependents.

Retirement
The Sheriff's Department fully funds deputies' membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).

Deferred Compensation Program
The Department offers a deferred compensation plan under which employees may make voluntary contributions into a long-term tax-deferred savings program.

Uniform Allowance
A $775 uniform allowance is provided at the beginning of each fiscal year.

Incentive pay

Training Officer
Deputies assigned as training officers receive an additional $3.12 per hour.

POST certificates
Intermediate equals 4%
Advanced is an additional 2% to the Intermediate certificate

Bilingual
Certified Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and Tagalog speaking deputies are eligible to receive $35 biweekly bilingual pay.

Night Differential
Deputies working between the hours of 4:00 pm to 11:00 PM will receive an additional 8.5% and 10% from 11:00 PM to 6:00 am for shift differential pay.
